Will I have to be induced if I have gestational diabetes?

Only if baby gets too big I believe. I'm 32 weeks with GD now. Still figuring it out.

I had gestational diabetes with both of my pregnancies and my doc wouldn't let you go past 40 weeks. I was induced with.both pregnancy at 39 weeks.

They do in the uk. They won’t let you pass 40.5 weeks. If you deliver before, fair enough. I haven’t, so I was induced at 40.5 weeks.

It is likely that you will be induced but only if you don’t go on your own or the baby is  measuring too big. It’s common with GD. I had it with my first and they scheduled me to induced 5 days before my due date just to be sure the baby didn’t get too large and I didn’t have an complications.
