Miracle baby!!

Second sono, confirmed I am at 6weeks and 3 days, due date is 5/2/2020!!!

Crazy background story:

I had to do fertility treatments with my son (3years old) because I don’t ovulate, and we lucked out and it worked on the first round. He’s just simply the love of my life 💙

So we have since moved cities and wanted to meet the new fertility doctor to review their processes and prices to potentially start treatments in Spring 2020. At my initial appointment on August 15th, they drew blood and did a sonogram. Between those two things they confirmed, based off progesterone, that I had ovulated. As a lifelong PCOS Cyster, diagnosed at age 16, I was completely shocked. She said we would wait for my period, then get me on birth control. Well when the period never came two weeks later, I tested and it came back positive immediately!! Went for a sono at 4 weeks and then again today at 6weeks.

The miracle part: because of PCOS I typically get a period every 3-4 months or so. I also don’t produce enough progesterone on my own to sustain early pregnancy. So if we’d never gone to the fertility doctor when we did, I never would have known anything was happening because a missed period is typical for me. I’ve recently lost 65lbs and the doc said that’s what helped my body to start working correctly on its own. My doc was able to get me on progesterone at 4 weeks so we thankfully intervened early enough.

I’m so excited and relieved and feel so blessed. I feel like I definitely have a guardian angel watching over me. I don’t believe in coincidence and this could have turned out way different. Embracing every minute I can with my miracle toddler and the growing miracle inside. ❤️
