How long do fevers last?

I had a fever of 100.8 on Tuesday and a fever of 102.7 on Wednesday. I went to the doctor and she gave me an antibiotic shot in the butt yesterday and amoxicillin that I started today. I didn’t have a fever this morning but now I feel like it’s coming back. Is that normal to come back after it was down?

Yes it's normal. Especially in adults fevers coming and going can happen and you just started taking antibiotics. Give it a few days. 102.7 isnt super high but if it goes much higher like 104+ then take a fever reducer and give the doc a call back.

Take Tylenol if you have a fever. You can't just let it go uncontrolled like that. At 102 you can become delusional

Until the fever breaks or the infection is gone. I usually beat mine with honey and cinnamon mix it into a paste and eat it. Haven’t had to take antibiotics in years.

What “J” said is right and also fevers are what fights the infection so you really don’t want to take fever reducers unless it’s supper high
