I used to. Especially after being diagnosed as bipolar. I thought I was "too crazy" for anyone to love. That was a really dark time for me.
But here I am, taking of life with my soulmate🥰

After being single for nearly 7 years and recently finding out my crush does like me but isn’t allowed to date me because he’s having therapy for alcoholism and has to be single for a year, yes i do feel like I’m destined to be alone.

Following my diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome at age 8, I caught so much hell from my family, my classmates, and my parish that the next *15 YEARS* were lonely. It wasn't until I went off to college that the clouds started to lift, and it most definitely wasn't until I started working that I started to realize just how wrong so many people were. 
Of course, it wasn't until after my parents got a divorce that I finally started putting two and two together. Through all the reading I've done on divorce, grief, and the autism spectrum, I've discovered that the grief from my parents' divorce is intimately connected to the grief that followed my diagnosis. Therefore, I remain convinced that any hell I catch from being on the autism spectrum will come from other people who aren't. 
It's taken me so long to realize that the heartbreak always came from the outside, always affecting the authenticity of my decisions, that I'm no longer afraid of spending the rest of my life by myself. I know the right person is out there, but I won't search for that person until I have found my life's work. I'd much rather let the authenticity of that work attract the love of my life, instead of attracting someone with a less-than-honest presentation of myself.

I have always truly believe that there’s someone out there for everyone. I’m still in awe that with everyone that I’ve met in my life, my husband was predestined just for me for the rest of my life.
