I’m afraid he doesn’t care

So I’m really really feeling this guy,, we’ve been together since May 6th and I am his first REAL girlfriend so Ik there’s some shyness there but HE DOESNT TALK OR INITIATE!! It’s like occasionally he’ll do stuff but it’s mostly ALL ME. Idk what to do but I do know I love him so very much because this is one of the few people that actually make me feel like I can be me. When we’re alone everything is great it’s fine but in public and when we’re not physically together it’s like crickets. I’m not saying he’s not affectionate but it would be nice if he showed he cared once in a while. Idk what to do or how to bring it up; ladies, sis is in a real pickle
