So my daughter is going on 2 weeks old and we’ve been having some troubles with her latching correctly. She drinks formula sometimes and I noticed she bites down on the nipple pretty aggressively and she’s clamped down on me pretty hard as well. She prefers breast milk but latching is painful and if she doesn’t latch right away it makes it frustrating when milk is getting everywhere. I pump to help with engorgement but it doesn’t feel like I am emptying. I’ve tried different positions but I’m not sure if it’s my nipple that’s the problem, the engorgement or she’s just small and can’t latch yet. Any recommendations please! This is my second time breastfeeding but I didn’t have these same issues as I am having now :(
