Has your baby starting smiling yet?

Baby will be 8 weeks old tomorrow and hasn't really smiled. I talk to her and play with her and all I've really gotten is a half smile. What all can I do to get her to start smiling?

Not consistently but we can get a smile out of him sometimes

Each baby is different but our little guy has taken a while to fully smile too. They say between 8-12 weeks is when the social smile starts to kick in more so there’s still time! We noticed if we tickle his chin and talk to him in high pitches voices close to his face he will
smile more.

I think some babies are just more serious than others. My daughter almost never smiled until she was a toddler. I wondered if something was wrong with her. Lol! But she’s a very happy, funny, smiley 6 year old now. Her baby brother started smiling in response to us at 4 weeks and smiles all the time. It really just seems to depend on the kid.
