Anyone use convertible car seats?

Question

My son is 16lbs+ and carrying around his infant car seat is sooooo darn heavy! 
Opinions on convertible car seats? 
What brand do you have?

Been in it since he was 8 weeks old. Literally falls asleep within 10 mins of being in it, yet before in baby carrier he used to just scream every journey.

My son has been in the convertible (mostly, depending on who’s car he’s riding in) since 6 weeks. He hates his infant seat and always has. We have the graco 4ever.

We have the Nuna Rava. We’ve used it since we came home from the hospital and my son loves it. He gets fussy when we have to use the infant car seat we got for if we go out while my husband is at work because we only have one car but like to go on outings with friends. I was recommended it because it’s supposed to be really comfortable for long distance travel, he’s always so happy in it. And the fact that you don’t have to take out straps and reloop it every time baby grows is a definite plus since they grow so fast. I feel like I’m constantly screwing with his infant car seat just to make sure the straps fit him because he’s growing so fast.

My son is 12w and he loves the convertible car seat so much more than then infant car seat we have in my husbands car. In the convertible he’s able to watch all that happens around him.

Yes! My guy is 15 weeks on Tuesday and weighs 14 lbs. We just got a convertible car seat yesterday because he absolutely hated riding in his infant car seat. Wouldn’t even do stroller rides in it. We purchased the Evenflo DLX 3-1. He loves it and didn’t cry once today! Best decision we could’ve made! It’s rear facing up to 40 lbs, reclines, and comes with full padded inserts so he is safe and comfortable!.

I just bought the Graco 4ever fit yesterday. My son is 12 weeks. It’s been an adjustment for sure. I’m used to packing everything including him and then heading out but now I have to “carry” him out just all baby (if that makes sense) lol. I’m also struggling with the infant insert because it doesn’t stay in place causing him to slide down and slouch into his chest clip. Another mom recommended doubled sided Velcro to keep in place. So I will be trying that. I think once that’s fixed it will be perfect. He has A LOT MORE room to kick and be free (obviously while still being secure). Plus it’s good until he’s like 10 years old or 120lbs with the booster seat!! A lot of money but only car seat you’ll need.

I’m doing research on this right now too! My girl is still so small but she seems so uncomfortable in her infant seat. We’ve adjusted the straps multiple times but I think it’s just the U shape she’s in that she doesn’t like. I’m having such a hard time deciding. I might just order the one I’m looking at now just to have it ready.
