Baby not interest in food?!

Question

My little one is 7.5 months (technically Jan 28 baby but closer in milestones to this group. He’s taking 2 pouches of purées a day at daycare but almost always refuses if they are from me or dad. I’ve also tried giving him a few real solids like sweet potato and banana and he has ZERO interest. 
My first was on full on solids at 7 months. Is this normal?! Do I just stop following and try again in a couple of weeks?

This is reassuring for me. My little one is 7 months and he doesn't seem interested. Sometimes he will explore and put it in his mouth to suck but I think he is treating it like all other objects he puts in his mouth! He rarely let's you spoon feed him unless it's a yummy yogurt and that is only two or three small spoon amounts. He has 4 bottle of milk, usually between 7-8.5 oz each time. He is putting on weight but I worry about his nutrition and learning to chew etc.

My little one will take a few bites.  He prefers his breast milk.  The pediatrician said to just keep offering it to him.

My daughter is 7 mos +11 and she's not interested in solids anymore either. We started her off with pureed apples and mashed bananas and she loved it. Gave her gerber green beans and sweet potatoes and she liked them. But we tried rice cereal by itself twice and she had a reaction to it and projectile vomited so we took about a four or five day solid break. Tried to get her to eat some more veggies, stuff she's had and she won't open her mouth. Got some fruit: peaches and apples and same thing except she'll taste it if she can hold the spoon. It started because she tried to lick the container so I took the foil pieces off of them and she licked it off there. Then I handed her the spoon and she treated it like a lollipop. Tried to spoonfeed her after she tried it and she still won't accept it. Too independent. But she's not eating a lot that way because after 2 or 3 dips she loses interest.

I’d say just offer as usual and if he refuses don’t force it and try again the next meal. Try offer in a variety of ways like in those mesh food pouches that they can teeth on or purée or just giving actual food in slivers. Our public health nurse told us that food anytime before 9 months is just for fun, I’ve also heard food before one is fun too 🤷‍♀️ so don’t stress to much, just keep trying☺️

My baby won’t eat ANY solids, I’ve tried different baby foods, pieces of a banana, apple slices, she won’t put anything in her mouth and makes the most disgusted face if we even put a spoon of baby food to her lips (I don’t force it in her mouth) she is breastfed and will only nurse to eat, won’t eat solids.
