Can siblings visit if hospital is under flu restriction?

Has anyone had babies during a visitor flu restriction? Were your older children allowed to visit?

Different hospitals have different age restrictions, but most floors that involve children/babies have some age cut off during flu season... it’s probably worth just calling your hospital directly to find out their policy.

I just googled “hospital flu restriction” and found the policy for a random hospital. It does specifically say:
“No one under the age of 14 may visit the hospital
Exception: In the Maternity units only, healthy siblings of any age are permitted to visit healthy newborns”
SO, I’m sure if you contact your hospital they have a clear definition of which children are able to visit and can tell you if they have an exception for maternity and siblings.
