Going back to work?

Question

I’m trying to plan for next year as I’m due to return to work. I’m keen to hear from other twin mommas on if and when you went back to work and how did it go? I’m starting to feel guilty at even the thought of leaving them at childcare full time.

I can get almost 6 months of paid leave and after that I plan to leave my job (that I hate passionately). I am currently planning to take a year or two off of work to be home with my twins but I have no idea how I will feel so just going to play it by ear. I only wanted two kids total so I am feeling like I want to be there for as much as their childhood as possible. But obviously finances are a huge consideration and might change.

I’m being induced on Sunday to deliver my girls and will have the rest of the year off, so like 14 weeks? Personally, I’d love to have like 6 months to be with them but I’m starting a new job making over double of what I make currently so it’s hard to turn that down.
