My husband is a Marine, and he will always be a Marine. He served with everything he had, and some of his favorite memories in life are from his time during active duty. I love him so much, for everything he is and that includes his passion for being a US Marine...but this past week his contract officially ended - he had 5 years active duty and then 4 years reserve, and his last year in reserve just came to an end. I am so proud of everything he has done but truth be told, while we are TTC, I am so incredibly grateful that he isn’t going to be called up during a draft tomorrow or next week. I have so much respect for every man and woman that serves, and I am still so grateful that the love of my life will be safe at home with me and our kiddos from now on.

I truly give all my love and support to everyone still dealing with active duty and deployment and all of that, you are stronger than anyone gives you credit for. You will get through this, I have no doubt.
