I tried everything! And I mean everything! Your baby won't come if he or she is not ready! I wanted my baby girl out so badly! I tried everything since week 37. Even castor oil, I tried maybe 4 times until it actually worked. It was a big mistake! Castor oil gives you very bad painful contractions, but if your baby is not ready, contractions will go away after several hours. So you will be in a lot of pain for nothing. You will only get disappointed. It only works if you are dilated or 100% efaced. The last time I tried i was 38+2. Started having contractions maybe 2 hours after I drank midwifes brew, then 1 hour after my water broke, but the contractions were terribly painful! 3 minutes apart! Once I arrived at the hospital 2 hours later I was taken for emergency c section, because her heart rate was too fast, because of painful and fast contractions you get once you take castor oil so she was distressed... I got lucky that nothing happened to her the other times I took castor oil... I was so stupid for risking her health... Luckily she was fine. But now I'm trying to recover from major surgery. The very first week was terrible, I was in tears when I had to get up to change her nappies, feed her, go to the bathroom or do anything because the pain is horrible.. It takes at least 2 weeks to recover from c section.. Don't be stupid and please be patient! And if you think you gonna take castor oil no matter what, please wait at least until 38 weeks... And for your own baby's safety go to hospital to get checked, cause your baby can be in danger... Yes there is so many successful stories about castor oil, but you never know what might happen to you and your baby!
