Has anyone had a sweep done when group b strep positive?

Question

I had a sweep done today at 37+3(already showing signs of very start of labour) I asked my ob if it would introduce the GBS into the uterus she said no and it's not a risk to baby until waters break . I went ahead with sweep however I've done some googling and it seems it can put baby at risk. I've been crying and worrying. Any one have any experience or advice? Thanks

I was told it could put baby at risk bc your water will likely break before you've been hooked up to antibiotics. Which you need to prevent spreading GBS to baby. My Dr doesn't do it on GBS positive mamas

My doctor won’t do it,m if you’ve ever tested positive for group B, because they want to make sure you have the penicillin before your water breaks. 
If your water breaks and the infection is passed to your baby, it could be very dangerous.
