Tampon issues

I was at school and i suddenly got my period, so i asked my friend if she had a tampon for me and luckily she did. But since im a virgin i always use small tampons, but she gave me a big one.. i had to use it so i did. I went in pretty easliy (mostly because i was reaaally horny) but after like 30 minutes it started to feel weird. So i pulled it out and it really hurted. It definitly wasnt a pleasing feeling. But idk if there is something wrong cause now 2 days later it is still sore wheb i trg to use a tampon(a small one) Have any if you ever experienced this too?
