My Birth Story of Perfect Timing (Super Late) 7/22/19

Ja

Lets set the scene.. lol... My parents live 2800 miles away and Babys due date was Aug 4th, 2019 (parents arriving a week prior). At 37 weeks the sent me to the hosptial from my weekly appointment due to hypertension. Spent 3 hours at the hospital, but no preeclampsia! 🙌🙏 Went to a follow up appoitment the following Monday, diagnosed with gestational hypertension and an induction was scheduled for 38w1d, 7/23/19 starting at 5pm. Super stressed and scared over everything now. My parents were able to reschedule their flight and i informed my job of the early departure working until Friday 7/19/19. They were now arriving 7/22/19 at 1am.

7/22/19 12AM, i am driving to the airport to pick up my parents with my husband. I didn't feel well, my stomach was upset and uncomfortable and i thought it was due to them flying (i am a big worrier). My parents and pup arrive safely and we make it home around 2:30am. Now time to relax and went to bed at 3am

7/22/17 6AM, awaken from my sleep, thought i just had to pee.. when i stood up i felt a weird gush and couldn't tell what happened. Unsure if my water broke of course i googled the shit out of it. Followed some directions on google.. laid back down, waiting a little while stood up again and felt more. I was sure it wasn't pee this time.... went to my parents room and asked my mom what it felt like. At this time i am having mild period type cramps and my mom confirmed it was happening.. I called my OB and she said once the pain was taking my breath away, go to the hospital... well.. of course i didn't know what to expect.. we left an hour later.

7/22/19 8AM, in L&D triage... Confirmed water broke but only 1cm Dilated. They admit me and assign me to my room. They give me a pill to start dialation more. At about 1pm they confirm that i am now at 3cm dialated and started me on pitocin. They would not give me an epidural yet because they wanted me to know what to feel for.. those contractions came fast and quick and sooo painful. So many times i told my mom and husband that i am not strong enough to do this. My hubby even broke down because he couldn't do anything for my pain... eventually they would let me get the epidural, but there was emergency C-Sections and i had to wait for the Dr to be available. This felt like forever.. contractions at a 10, but i still could not feel the pressure through the pain. Eventually my savior arrived and the epidural went perfectly, didnt feel it and the pain faded away. I felt the pressure finally. My nurse told me when i felt an uncontrollable urge to poo.. it will be time to push.

7/22/19 ~5pm.. by this time its all a blurr.. i tell my mom she needs to go get her now!!! I felt like i needed to push so bad. About 10 minutes later my midwife showed up confirming it was def go time. I think they did not believe me when i told them it was hurting so bad and the pitocin worked faster than we all thought. With my mom on one side and my hubby on the other, i push through 5 or 6 contractions and my beautiful baby girl was here.

7/22/19 6:01 PM - 4lb15oz, 18inches long. Just minor internal tearing, nothing crazy. They placed her on my chest.. she was sooo tiny and beautiful. When they took her away, my husband cried.. he said he couldn't control it he was just so happy (he was convinced he wouldn't cry). I lay there for another 30 minutes due to my placenta being stuck and not delivering. Im still under the epidural, legs shaking in the stirrups while they try to get it to release. It would not come out and eventually a DR was called to help. She ended up taking it out in pieces. My little girl was brought back to me as a picture of perfection! 💕😍🙌🙏

MY BABY GIRL WAITED FOR HER GRANDPARENTS TO GET HERE.. AS SOON AS THEY WERE SHE DECIDED IT WAS TIME FOR ARRIVAL. 💕💕 SHE WAITED!
