As I consolidate the pictures I need to print for Ellie’s milestone garland decoration at her party on Saturday, I am overwhelmed with emotion. I’m so proud of this little chick my husband and I have the honor to raise. She has ventriculmegly and has been through more in 12 months than most have been through in 12 years. She is so intelligent, she is so sassy, she is my little best friend and I cannot believe how much she has grown and overcome. I know we all have nuggets and can understand just how fast this time flies but, I had to share my nostalgia as I reflect on the last 12 months and how excited I am for all the months and years to come.
