Cat & baby myths...

Since becoming pregnant, everyone seems to be the cat baby expert, I’ve even had the mother of all assholes, who shall reside in the depths of every asshole, ask me if I was going to get rid of my cats! As well as telling me about that wonderful, idiotic, ignorant myth about how cats smother babies and “steal their breath”. Gag me with a spoon, O Lord. While I’m just ranting, I’d like to jab a spoon into some of these people’s eye sockets. Anyways, with all that being said, I’d never leave my cats unattended with my baby. Baby pulls tail, cat reacts with a swift claw. Cat isn’t in the mood for baby, another swift jab- you get the deal. They’re animals and it’s not that I don’t trust my cats but they are animals and they cannot communicate to me or a baby that they don’t like something other than with their paws and mouths sometimes so no, I’m not treating my cats like they should be some stand in baby sitter. But I’m not going to throw my cats out for well, being cats!
