How to handle Emotions

What have you guys done to help handle your emotions? The worst one is anger for me, and it is pretty mild except when it comes to certain things or people. Best way I know to explain it is, its things that would normally upset me or make me mad. But normally I would be able to handle it MUCH better. Now it's taking everything I have to not be a crazy person. And I cant avoid the people that mainly set this off or trigger it (in laws unfortunately and it's a very long story). But I just need some advice on what to do? I am going to therapy weekly as is, she is working with me very strongly on this. And I'm actively doing everything I can and whatever my doctors are recommending as well.
