need help :( (its long sry)

Okay so I have been dating this guy for almost three years. We have been each other’s closest and best friends during that time, and even at times each other’s only friend. A month ago he left for college and he has completely changed. He is the type of person to where he changes his personality so people will like him more in any situation. I was one of the only people he felt he could be his true self around. We would call and he’d be himself until his roommate or someone else walked in, and he would completely change and start treating me like crap. We were never the type of people to go out and party and drink and do stuff like that, but when he went to college he started to (which is fine it’s college I get that), but he tried flexing it on me and trying to show off to be the cool person everyone at his school likes. He also started asking me if he could flirt w other girls and snuggle w them. He recently decided to end things, and has been switching his reasons like crazy. Some of his reasons include: he no longer loves me, I ruin his life, he doesn’t need me anymore, he’s starting a new life, and those are just a few. I know who he truly is and I know he still loves me deep down inside. I just don’t know what to do. He said he wants to be friends, and I try, but it is hard to not try and get him back every time. I just don’t know what to do.
