So, I live with three other people. I’ve been the only one doing the dishes the past 6 weeks, plus cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen/living room. We usually cook and eat together, with the chef not doing dishes, leaving it up to everyone else. We’re all kinda gross, and end up leaving the dishes for later. It’s always me who does them. I jokingly made a comment to my roommates last weekend about doing the dishes and they promised they would start doing them.

I decided not to take care of them anymore, hoping someone else would step up. I still put all my dishes in the dishwasher or rinsed out any big pots so they wouldn’t be disgusting- they just needed to be soaped up.

No one has done dishes. All three of them have complained that we are out of dishes. One has made comments to me about how we have so many dishes in the sink and that “it’d be nice if someone did them”.

I feel awful not doing them. We’re all busy, and I’m the one with the most free time. I feel like I should be helping out where I can since I am free. But, I don’t want to be the only one doing the work especially since I have other things I need to do.
