Do you stay home from work when your baby has a cold?

Depends on childcare. I’d leave my baby with my husband or MIL if she just has a cold, especially if there’s no sign of fever, on the days they watch her. Once a week, she’ll be with a family friend who does in home daycare; I need to check with her on how comfortable she’d be with a sick baby. 
Once my daughter is a year, she’ll go to the childcare where I work. So if she has a fever or diarrhea, my boss will send us both home. If she’s sick for more than a day, I’ll get my husband to use some of his sick time too. But we don’t send kids home from daycare for just a snotty nose!

When I worked, I was the one to stay home. My husband is military and can’t just stay home like I could. However, he’s getting out soon and will be retired so he’ll be transitioning into a stay at home dad and will be the one to stay home with our youngest until he’s in school and obviously will be home if our oldest is sick and needs to stay home.

When my babies are sick, mama stays home. My children come first before anything in my life.

When I worked I did! I couldn’t concentrate at work when I knew my babies were sick. Luckily though if I lost my job my SO’s check was enough for us to live off of.
