So I was at the mall today and walked by a jewelry store. A man had politely stopped me and said he’s looking for a ring for his gf but wanted it to be a complete surprise for her and everyone they know. So he told me the reason he stopped me was because I had the “same look and style” as his gf and was wondering if I could give my input for what kind of ring he should get her. I helped him the best way I could and pointed out a few items and he thanked me and that was it.

But I was wondering if anyone else had ever been asked before? What would you think? I told my friend and she said she’d be mad. I thought it was both sweet (that he’s trying without knowing much) and a bit odd that he’d ask a stranger, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just to be clear, I had absolutely no problem with it and I was happy to help him out. I really wish I could know how his proposal goes though lol good luck to him!
