Being induced...Why? When?

Any moms out here being induced before their due date?? If so, how soon and what’s the reason. Thank you in advance.

I got induced last Friday at 38 weeks for gestional hypertension . It was long and hard to be honest with you . It started at 8pm Friday and I had her at 11:47 pm Saturday but they told me induction process can take days

Being electively induced at 39 weeks (2 weeks away). Doctor recommended since I’m a small FTM. Research shows if your cervix is favorable being induced a week early has more positive benefits than negative.
