Cd 41 no af bfn

We stopped going by the book back in july and just did it naturally when we had the mood. Now my period is a week late and i was waiting and waiting till it just hit me a few days ago that I've had some symptoms which I've never felt before prior to period and that i might have done it close to ovulation. Checking my app, correct. But my cycle is irregular (30 to 40 days) so it could be some hormonal imbalance or just annovulatory? Anyone with me here? Lmp was aug 15 to 21. I even had this weird mid cycle bleeding aug 26 to sep 7; 13 days. Maybe aug 26 was supposed to be September's period?
