How Did You know It Was Time?

Gabby

Hey ladies ☺️

So, I know it may seem like a dumb question as a mom of 1 already... (yes I gave birth to him)

But I have no clue as to what it will look like or feel like when my little is ready to come. I am due in October but with my 2nd little one.

With my 1st one whose now 1.5yrs old I was induced; he was making no attempt at coming on his own. The only thing I knew meant I was close to my due date was that it showed on the calendar. Besides the normal swelling, and some back labor which was all throughout my 3rd trimester I have no idea what actual labor and or getting close to delivering feels like.

“Is it different from being induced?” Because to me that was painful yes but not to bad... I do remember how the contractions felt after my water broke.

But I have no clue as to how I know my water is about to break or what it feels like to lose my mucus plug naturally.

Since last week my little one has made his way down, down. If I touch the bottom of my belly thats where he’s resting at all the time. I no longer can walk without waddling, I’ve had a bit of “cum like” discharge. An I’ve had lots of pains out of the blue that take my breathe away and or feel like cramping.

When I saw my OB he said not to worry about anything til my water does break or unless there was decrease fetal movement. I only live 5minutes away from the hospital I’m going to be delivering at.

I just feel kind of dumb for not knowing these things and already having 1 kid. An when I ask I don’t get a answer on it. My OB is a guy do he can’t tell me his personal experience and his nurses both don’t have any kids so no personal experience there either to help me relate or get any inside advice.

They’ve printed me off the papers talking about it but it doesn’t describe really the feeling of oncoming labor. Or the breaking of your water.
