Help, boudreaux's butt paste?

Question

I was told at the hospital NOT to use boudreaux's butt paste. I was too tired to ask why, or if this applied to newborns only. I have searched on google and havent found any reasons why I shouldnt use it, baby is four weeks old and we already have a tube of boudreaux's butt paste at home that ide like to use if I can.

Thanks to everyone for responding, it was recommended to us before his birth, thats why we bought it! I think i will use it in the future.

My ped told me to stop using it and switch to aquaphor, because the white creams can be abrasive and make some rashes worse. I switched and it did get better.

My ped recommended old fashioned A&D and it’s been the thing that cleared my son’s diaper rash the fastest. Boudreaux’s made it worse for some reason.

I love Boudreaux’s buttpaste- it’s all I will use. Anytime my daughter has a rash this stuff clears it up really quick. I’ve been using it on my 2 week old son as well.

I have no idea. I’ve never been told though. I’ve used it on my baby girl since birth. She’s never had a diaper rash actually ever and she’s almost 7 weeks.
