Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all doing well.

I am 38, almost 39 and newly pregnant, 5 wks 5 days today. While this is not my first child it has been an extremely long time since I had one , 17 years.

Needless to say things have changed since I was last pregnant. I told my family this Sunday past. My sister and sister in law immediately got supper excited. They both started talking about gender reveals and pregnancy announcements and stuff.

I don’t have a clue what is going on lol. I am still trying to wrap my brain around having a baby while getting my daughter through her senior year and off to college next fall.

Now I have no problem letting them plan stuff. But what is it we are planning lol. When I had my daughter there was a baby shower and that was it.

I have no idea what I should be doing or planning for? How are things done now. I feel like I need a pregnancy in 2019 fo dummies book lol. It’s been 9 years since I knew someone who was pregnant. What do people expect nowadays?

Any other advice would also be great lol. I have no idea where to start.
