Scared for labour?

Question

Is anyone more scared with their second for labour/birth? I’m honestly terrified but I think it is because of my anxious personality when I had my first, I didn’t have all these anxieties.

I’m not but this is my 4th go around 😂 but I remember being a little more anxious with my second. I’m more so just dreading recovery and the bleeding 🙄

I feel you. My first was 30 hours with no drugs and slight tearing up to my urethra. Nothing went wrong, baby was super healthy, but it still traumatized me. I had horrible anxiety and nightmares for the first year after my son was born. Now I'm pregnant with #2 and those birth nightmares are back. I just keep telling myself the baby at the end is worth it

Well idk if this will easy your mind but my second birth was sooo much shorter then my first. My first was over 24 hours and my second was just over 2 hours. My first was induced, my second wasn’t. My first I ended up getting an epidural cause it was so long having back to back contractions and I needed rest, my second I laboured In the tub for 1.5 and the last 30 mins sucked (I was assuming I had hours left at this point) and asked for an epidural (so at the point of it being too much) and he was born 5 mins later. I’m really hoping my birth goes the same as my second, I’d be thrilled for such a quick birth and I was out of the hospital 4 hours later and slept In my own bed that night.

My first I was absolutely terrified but it was totally fine. I’m not really afraid of the labor itself this time...I’m more worried about the logistics of getting someone to watch my daughter while we’re in the hospital and how I’ll handle two young children. I’m also way more anxious of having a miscarriage this time around which barely crossed my mind with my first. I’m 14 weeks I shouldn’t be this nervous! Can’t wait to feel and know it’s baby kicking.

Yes I am soooo scared I had a horrible birth with my son it’s worrying me so much I know every birth is different but if it’s anything like my first then I don’t know what I’m going to do I literally could not cope

Yes, terrified. My first daughter, I was in labor for over 30 hours, pushed for 2 hours. They ended up having to cut me from hole to hole (lol) because her head was stuck. I could barely walk for the first few weeks, and the bleeding! My gosh. Yeah. I’m pretty scared. But I keep hearing that your second is much easier and much faster. My friend just had her second and had her baby within 3 hours.  I’m also scared because I have my 2 year old and I’ve NEVER been away from her, so I don’t know how I’m going to do with worrying about how she’s doing 😭😭😭😭

I’m super nervous only because my first was so fast that I wasn’t able to get the epidural and I hear your second is even faster.. I just hope I get to the hospital in time!! I’d rather not go all natural a second time😳
