My husband and I found out we’re having a girl. I told him I wanted our daughter to choose if she wanted her ears pierced or not once she’s old enough. He is not up for that and wants her ears pierced right away.

I only want her to have a choice because I have never cared for earrings, never wear them, I don’t even own a pair. Of course this was mentioned to my husband and he said, “Well, she can have the choice of not wearing earrings like you.” (And y’all, I have no issue for those that have them pierced, so no need to come at me. Lol.) My mother had my ears pierced twice and I wish she’d just done them once (or not at all.)

What are y’all’s thoughts on that topic? Let them have a choice? Do it while they’re young, so they don’t go through the pain later on?
