Induction experience?

I’m being induced next Tuesday due to high blood pressure and I’m terrified because I’ve heard bad things about being induced. Please help calm my nerves!!

I was induced for high blood pressure! I went in, got a foley bulb inserted (it was a bit painful, more uncomfortable than anything). I was supposed go home but I stayed overnight because my blood pressure went through the roof. I got it inserted around 9 and at 3 am it fell out and I had my water break, I was 4cm. Around 4 I got an epidural and was given pitocin and I basically slept until 5pm lol. At 5:30 I started pushing and had him at 6:00pm on the dot!

I have been induced twice. Both times were great experiences. I had back labor and contractions before going in with first and the worst part was the back labor. I don't think it prolonged my labor. I was in labor with my first for 6 hours pushed for 35 minutes. In labor for 4 hours pushed for 11 minutes with my second.

I was induced with my first and am pregnant with my second, so I don't know any different. But I think it was very manageable. If that was considered a "tough" experience, then I'm looking forward to the possibility of not being induced this time around 😂

Induction doesn’t have to go badly. If you’re planning a vaginal birth, just prepare yourself for things to go slowly. Bring things to make yourself comfortable (essential oils, blankets, pillows, slippers or fuzzy socks, music, a supportive birth partner) and walk as much as you possibly can if they let you. Bounce on a ball if you can, and just try to stay calm and don’t stress. This is what’s best for you and baby, you’ll meet that sweet little soul soon ❤️

I've been induced with both my boys and honestly it was better than my natural birth some things can go wrong but I had no issues with mine :) hope everything works out

Ok so Honestly induction sucked for me...my water broke but I wasn’t progressing and no contractions so had to be induced. It was the worst pain imaginable BUT I was still able to do it without an epidural! If you plan on getting an epidural it should help with the pain
