Yup it's totally fine to do since it helps prevent constipation if you're offering solids. Purees or not. I find he likes having sips with his meals! Only an oz or less a day.

I’ve been offering her from her sippy cup but she’s struggling to drink it. So she’s getting constipated. Does anyone have recommendations on sippy cups that are working for their little ones?

We are trying to help him learn Sippy cups but he’s not gotten the hang of it yet. 
We offer a Sippy cup with water regularly. Soon hopefully.
