Early Contractions and DilationšŸ˜²ā€¼ļø

Let me start off by saying I’m only 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant today. So yesterday started off like any other day. Around 12, me, my husband, and baby girl left to take my little sister to work. On the way there I started feeling my stomach tightening every few minutes. Wasn’t paying much attention to it at first. About twenty minutes later it got a little stronger. I started feeling uncomfortable. I tried drink more water than I usually do to see if that would help and tried to relax a little in the back seat. Nothing was helping. I called my doctor’s office and ended up getting transferred to the hospital since they were closed. I talked to someone and they said all they can tell me to do is drink water and rest. I told them these feel like the same contractions from the beginning of my daughter’s labor. I decided to just go in. Got there and was sent upstairs to labor and delivery. Started getting monitored and my contractions were 2 minutes apart and I had already dilated 1 cm. They needed to start an IV but were having a hard time finding a vein (which is normal for me). Finally found a vein after half an hour and 8 sticks. (Pretty bruised after all that but it’s ok.) They start fluid and get my primary doctor on the phone. She tells them to go ahead and check me again (about 45 minutes after the last check) and I’m at 1.5-2 cm and my contractions are now coming back to back but they’re not painful to me just very noticeable. They realize fluid isn’t working so they give me something to relax my uterus. This helps a lot. The contractions start to slow down after about 2 hours and we’re almost done with fluids. The on call doctor comes in and explains where we are in the current situation. She basically says if the baby decides to come there’s nothing they can do to help her😭. I was ready to cry but I knew this. She checked me one more time and thankfully no change. I finished fluids and was able to be discharged. I’m on pelvic rest, modified bed rest (I can get up every 2 hours to pee or eat.), and have to drink a gallon of fluid everyday. They don’t want me under any kind of stress and to just rest. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚I have an almost 9 month old so I’ll do my best on that one. But so far, I’m ok and the baby is ok. Everything is day by day. 10 day to viabilityšŸ¤žšŸ½ā¤ļø

Small Update: Currently feeling very uncomfortable and some low cramps. Hoping it’s just gas. Haven’t brought it up to anyone yet because I don’t want anyone to be worried. Going to try the bathroom and a shower first and see if that helps. Praying we don’t have to make another hospital trip tonightšŸ‘€
