Water broke??

Question

I am 38 weeks pregnant and not sure if my water broke. I got up and my underwear and tights were pretty wet. I put a pad to track the water flow and it got a little damp. Not sure if I should go to the hospital? I don’t have any other symptoms or contractions.

When my mother's water broke, she didn't know it was what it was. She was on a walk with my dad, and she felt like she had just peed herself. Just a trickle. Not a gushing at all. This eventually happened again. Then mom decided to go to the hospital where she later found out her water had broke!

You can definitely get a small leak. It happened to me 2 of my 4 pregnancies. The hospital can swab test you for amniotic fluid. If it's positive, they'll give you a deadline for when you have to go into labor.

I know several people that had pinhole leaks and never thought it could their amniotic fluid.

When  my water broke it was a gush and continued everytime I stood up.
If you want to be sure you can go to labor and delivery and they just swab you for amniotic fluid

My water punctured and it was very obvious it was my water. I felt a good enough gush that happened multiple times. It was enough to soak through my pajama shorts. At that late in pregnancy I had very watery discharge. Could also be that? You could call and talk to L&D, they will give you advice.

Try lying down for about ten minutes. If you feel a trickle when you stand up it could be your water. Can’t hurt to get checked. Just call your doctor to see what to do 😃

When my water broke with my second it was a gush and I could deff tell like I needed to change my pants and I soaked a towel that was under me lol . But previously throughout the day I was leaking a good amount and deff wetting my underwear more than normal. I was also having contractions that were irregular but still having contractions. I would wait and see, is this your first?
