ideas on how to write a prenup?

bae and I are signing marriage papers before we announce the baby, and he told me to think of some things I wanna put down on paper. m
I have no ideaaaaaaaaaaaawhaaaat?!?!?! 
what do I write what do I not write where do I write how do I write how long do I write?
any ideas please? not even sure if this is something you ask for ideas for but i’m clueless as hell

I have never heard of this. Why do you need to write stuff down? Unless one of you has a very large set of assets (and even then I don’t see the point), there’s really no need for a prenup

A prenuptial agreement is to protect your assets in the event of a divorce. Does one of you have significant land? Money? Stocks? What are you protecting?
I had my husband sign one to protect family land that was given to me many years before we dated. A lawyer drew up the contract for 2500.00.

Listen theres nothing wrong with a prenup. It is literally a backup in case something goes wrong. Nothing goes wrong you have nothing to worry about, it's more of a security blanket. Think of something that you absolutely want to keep in your possession or when you have kids only go to them in the event that you and your boyfriend divorce and write it down. Definitely speak to a lawyer and get it all sorted as well. If anyone says anything bad just remember. You have nothing to worry about as long as you dont plan on divorcing🤷‍♀️

I was once bartending and a couple came in celebrating their 15th anniversary. We were talking and they told me it was both their second marriage and they told me in the beginning the signed prenups and explained it was cause they both had children and wanted to make sure their needs were always taken care of but most of all they knew how hard marriage was and they included in their prenup steps that had to be taken if there was a problem before they could jump to divorce. Like they agreed they had to work together, communicate if something was wrong, see a marriage counselor and or therapists for at least a year before giving up and resorting to divorce, things like that. And they said, they were so grateful they did that bc a few years back they went thru a really hard patch but since they put all those promises/stipulations in the prenup it saved their marriage. I really think it was the best marriage advice I’ve ever received.

I agree with previous commenter, a prenup isn't really necessary...even if one of you has a lot of money/assets. I'd honestly be kinda offended if my fiance asked for one...I feel like if you're asking for a prenup, part of you expects the marriage to fail.

Most people put money but you can put whatever you both agree on - for example, if I were to do this, I would put that if we ever divorced, I would retain sole custody of the children allowing them to see their father x number of days and x holidays a year, what kind of hike support we each agree to, etc
