I am 18 and in a heterosexual monogamous relationship with my boyfriend who is also 18. We use condoms 100% of the time but I have been thinking about the pill or another form of birth control and my partner supports me in this choice as we are both focused on our education.

My problem is I don’t know how I can ask my mom or even have a conversation about this since she is very conservative. She never even gave me “the talk” or told me I was going to get a period. Any advice on how to ask for birth control?
