Whats day 1 of my period?

Ladies i need to do blood tests on 'day 2-4' of my Period. (Prefferably on Day 2 Dr said)
I started properly today after 4PM. Do i count this as day 1 or tomorrow as day 1? 
When i was doing IVF day 1 was the next day if you started after 4pm. But not sure

My doc said CD3 is preferable, 2 or 4 we’re okay. Since you started late in the day, if you count that as CD 1, is go in for the blood draw on CD 3. CD 2.5 still puts you in range whereas CD 1.5 would not.

I've always been told any sign of blood or  spotting is counted as day 1
I guess in a way it makes sense as our flow changes starts light to heavy to light to I would say your on day 2 😊
