Mother-led weaning or baby-led weaning?

If you breastfed or are currently breastfeeding, which method did you use or plan to use?

Weaning in the American sense or European sense? They mean opposites depending on which country you’re talking about. 
I’m from the US so weaning to me means to stop. I’m letting my baby decide when she’s done nursing. She’s almost 2.5 and still BF

I live in the US. We are doing baby led weaning for adding solids but I will also let my baby decide when he’s done nursing.

I breastfed until my son was 1 1/2 then I decided to stop cold turkey. He wanted to keep going but I was ttc and didn’t wanna mess with breastfeeding during pregnancy.

I chose when to stop. Made it to almost 9 months with my first and supply was pretty much gone so I stopped.  With my second I was going strong at 10 1/2 months and then my mom got sick and my supply was gone within two weeks.   I chose to stop pumping when I wasn’t getting much.  I had planned on stopping at 1 years old no matter what.  Breastfeeding is hard and needs to be the mothers choice.  Wither you wait til the baby tells you or you pick a time to stop its ultimately the moms choice.   Fed is best!  Doesn’t matter how or how long you do it!
