5 week ultrasound

I went for an ultrasound today at 5weeks as I was bleeding slightly.

The technician didn’t say anything or show me anything and said the result will be with my doctor later. Is this normal? I’m in Canada and my previous pregnancies were in the uk where to technician would tell you everything. I’m a little concerned
