How soon after giving birth did you let your family visit?

I’m having my mum and fiancé as my birthing partners so my mum will see the baby as soon as he’s born however we have asked for 1-2 days of us being able to settle in at home before everyone visits as it’s going to be new to us. Would like more days but our families would kill us 😂

We asked for one full day after her birth to adjust and settle in. It just about killed people ;) but they lived lol

My parents and my brother and my in-laws and sister in-law waited in the waiting room while I was in labor. 
The next day my grandmother, my grandfather, an aunt  and my best friend all came to visit.
I discharged the next day and everyone else came once we were home.

My parents and sister visited the evening of the day I gave birth because they had to finish blood transfusions and then move me. My husbands father visited later the same night and then his mother flew in 3 weeks later. I was pretty miserable from the blood and fluids and couldn’t walk or else they would’ve come earlier.

My daughter was in the nicu so only some could visit but only look because of their rules. So most waited until she come home

My family lives over 3,000 miles away. I’m due December 10th and we aren’t letting anyone come visit until the second week of January. (Mainly because they’ll stay in our house and we want time to adjust)
