Where do you prefer to give birth?

Also, comment if you prefer an Obstetrician or a midwife?
Just curious to read different opinions and experiences since this is my first pregnancy

Personally I loved my obgyn. She was amazing! She is extremely medically knowledgeable but also her normal protocol includes delayed cord clamping and many other things midwives and doulas typically advocate for, so I felt like it was the best of both worlds. 
That being said, I personally would not be comfortable giving birth anywhere but a hospital. If the baby or I need immediate medical intervention, I want it available at our finger tips. Why ignore the benefits of modern medicine and risk unnecessary morbidity or mortality?

I am also pregnant with my first. My husband and I will meet with midwives next week. Our plan for quite some time has been to do home birth, but a town near us just opened a birthing center, so we will check that out also. 
I fear that I may not be able to go this route because I am overweight so I may be considered high risk. 
I have several friends who have done home birth, so I ask them all my questions! It’s nice to have someone close who has gone through it!

My hospital of choice is very forward and actually uses midwives and their techniques.  The only thing they arent capable of doing is water births but otherwise they are very flexible with how one wants to labor. And like the other comment said. If something goes wrong I want the medical staff right there to make sure no one gets hurt or dies.

I most likely will be giving birth at a hospital under Ob care but thinking about getting a doula to help support me in my birth plan such as delayed chord clamping, and some other things that I won't list on here since it's private and personal.
