Flying pregnant!?

Question

Has anyone went on a plane recently or in the past around 30-35 weeks pregnant?? I’m leaving for Florida at the end of October and I’ll be 31 weeks pregnant and I’m so scared to fly alone and pregnant!! If anyone has any advice please let me know and i know i have to get letters for air line and get clearance from my Dr!❤️😅🤷🏼‍♀️✨

I was given the go ahead to fly anywhere up until 34 weeks. I flew last weekend at 29 weeks and I’ll be honest it was pretty uncomfortable and I almost missed a connecting flight because it was on the opposite end of the airport, I didn’t plan ahead with only a 20 minute layover and there’s not a lot of hustle left in me 😂 I did make sure I had an aisle seat near the bathroom which was 100% necessary, and wore compression socks to be safe.

I did flew 4 times 28-30 weeks. Was fine just uncomfortable sitting like that. Nobody asked me for a letter and didn’t have any issues at all other than not enjoying it and really took it out of me for a few days

I’m 31 weeks pregnant and literally got off the plane a few hours ago from Florida! Wasn’t bad, HOWEVER I would highly suggest compression socks and water. My fingers and feet swelled HORRIBLY

Compression socks, stay hydrated and get up and walk around, especially if your flight is longer than 3 hours. Even to the bathroom and back helps. I sat toward the back of the plane so I wouldn’t be annoying lol

I’m on a plane every week for work and was given the all clear to keep doing so till 36 weeks. I don’t plan to ever need a note as the airline I fly never requires it. Water is probably the most important thing. I find that folks are nice and always offer to put my bags up for me now that I’m so much bigger. I really don’t find it to be a big deal but it’s also been part of my life for years so I just don’t think much of it. Definitely be careful about short layovers! That’s been my biggest issue. I flew at 29 weeks. I came fully prepared with snacks an empty water bottle and a pillow. I will say a 5.5 hour flight was awful and my back hurt so bad by the end. If youre worried about going alone you could ask an employee to help you get to your gate and help with your bags just arrive early to get the needed help!

I fly stand by all the time about 2-4 flights a months from Utah to Florida to visit my parents and siblings. 😅 aisle seats are heaven! If you can get more leg room get it! Check your luggage so you don’t have to haul it around everywhere. Also your supposed to get up every hour to avoid getting a blood clot. If I fall asleep I don’t get up every hour just because well I’m sleeping! 😅 pack lots of snacks and a empty water bottle that you can refill to avoid expensive airport food! Window seats are great for the napping part but I feel awful walking over people especially with the limited space and the bump in the way. Bring Tylenol, pillow and small blanket also! 😊 I’m 28 weeks pregnant right now but am fly out to Florida again the week of Halloween and the week before thanksgiving. Hope you have fun!

Definitely stay hydrated. If you can bring one of those stick on heat patches for your back DO IT and do NOT forget your Tylenol!!!!! 
I flew from CA to MA and back last month at 27 and 29 weeks and I am N E V E R flying in the second half of a pregnancy ever again 😂 I was literally writing in pain the whole trip both ways. (I can’t take tylenol, I’m allergic, so no pain killers for me)

I’m flying to the east coast in a couple days for my baby shower. I’m currently 31 weeks. You don’t necessarily need a note for the airline. My doctor told me to get compression socks & make sure I move around and stretch. I wouldn’t worry so much. I flew from Japan to LAX while being 2 months along.

I flew this week for work at 30 weeks. Compression socks were great (third pregnancy and first time I’ve used them). I took longer to get to my gate haha. My flights were less than two hours so not horrible to be stuck in those ridiculously tiny seats.
