At 8 seeks pregnant I went for an ultrasound and there was a heartbeat. I’m pretty healthy and had had one healthy pregnancy before so I thought it was safe to tell everyone. I went to the doctors yesterday at 11 weeks and they couldn’t find a heartbeat with the Doppler. They gave me a sonogram and said there was no heartbeat or circulation, baby wasn’t moving, and was only measuring 8 weeks.

They said I could take meds to pass the baby, or a D and C, or wait up to 8 weeks for it to happen naturally. It’s already been 3. I really want my body to do what it is supposed to do on its own but I also want to get it over with so we can try again.

1) which option would you or did you choose? What are the pro/cons of each

2) Did you have one last sonogram? I believe the doctors but it’s also hard to believe at the same time.

3) is it normal to still feel pregnant? My stomach is big and bloated and I had a baby bump. It was getting bigger after 8 weeks. My boobs still feel sore.

4) How did you untell everyone if you made the mistake of telling everyone under the sun because you couldn’t hide it and were too excited to keep it a secret?
