I can’t be on birth control do to extreme hormonal reactions. My partner and I used the fertility awareness method which was accurate for us because I’m super regular. During my fertile week we would use condoms. 
We didn’t get pregnant until we wanted to. But accidents happen and sometimes women ovulate early, so unless you’re using condoms all the time, you need to be prepared that you could fall pregnant.

We used the pull out method effectively for about 2 years but you should read up on it to make sure it’s effectively done. We didn’t get pregnant until we tried (took three months of trying), so it can be effective if you know your bodies and if your husband can control his lol.. I think we might have used condoms when I was ovulating, but I can’t remember. We also were ready to go through a pregnancy if the pull out method was ineffective.. currently we use condoms all the time because my husband doesn’t want to take a chance... I would love another baby though!  Lol

my boyfriend and i used the withdrawal method and when we strayed from it, we made sure i wasn’t in the ovulation stage of my cycle. worked perfectly for four years until we said ‘oh well🤷‍♀️’ and now we have a two month old baby lol

I would recommend condoms, I was not even trying to get pregnant but went by my cycle and the month it went one week longer than usual I ended up pregnant.

If you have a regular cycle I highly recommend the app Natural Cycles. It’s the onlyFDA approved birth control app. I used it on the ‘prevent pregnancy’ setting and then switched to ‘Trying to conceive’ setting when I was ready. I had previously had the mirena coil for 7 years and Nuva ring for 3 years before that. But like I mentioned, this app works when you’re regular but also when you use the thermometer to check your temperature daily for the most accurate data.
