So my cousin just graduated from college and in the pics he posted I saw my brother (who sexually abused me for years growing up). My extended family don’t know that he abused me so I can’t fault them for that but it just hurts since everyone is aware that I’ve gone no contact and it feels like they’re choosing him over me. My parents know I was abused and are also still in contact with him (and still invite him to holidays as well). I’m not sure how to feel about my family, both extended and not, still being in contact with my abuser. I don’t think it’s my place to tell them to stop talking to him but it really hurts when they post pictures with him in them from holidays or other events when they didn’t even invite me to go. I don’t know what to do.
