You will definitely know when you are in true labor trust me. Them contractions cannot be mistaken. But to give you ease of mind you can start timing them.

I was told real labor contractions have a regular timing, BH are irregular and can come and go.

To clarify, Braxton Hicks contractions can still feel like true contractions and for some people are sometimes more painful. They can feel like intense lower back pain accompanied by lower abdominal pain and tightening of your whole tummy. You’ll know you are not in active labor if you change positions/ drink water/lay down/or take Tylenol and they subside!

Here are mine I was having both. Im 33+3 I got steroids for my sons lung im 3cm an effaced lost my plug..never feel like you shouldn't go. Go if you feel something is off . Call your doctor we aren't doctors
