How do you cope with “when are you having babies?” question?!
I’ve been married for five months. And I keep getting asked (probably weekly) when I’m going to have babies!
I find this so freaking rude.
Mind you, I live in Bali where this is a normal expectation of the culture. But I’m so tired for allowing the nosiness.
Why can’t people consider: that some women don’t want kids, or that some have fertility issues, or maybe someone keeps having miscarriages...?!
I’ve got endometriosis and a very large fibroid, so it’s a long road ahead and I have to do a lot to improve my health before having kids. But I don’t want to explain this every time random acquaintance asks me about my plans for children. They shouldn’t need an explanation of my reproductive system to satisfy their curiosity.
I don’t know how to handle this. Do you have any suggestions?!
It’s to the point I’m getting either really angry or upset when I’m asked now.
