Toys or play mats??

Question

Are you’ll giving your baby toys or using play mats yet? I only have little rattles for my baby girl right now but I think she needs more stuff to play with.

We do both. We have one of those piano gyms. She loves to kick the keys and play different sounds. It also plays music. I’ve been introducing new toys to her too like wrist rattles, finger puppets, lovies, a taggie book, and teething keys (for now I just shake them and let her bat at them). She also really enjoys having books read to her. She likes to look at the pictures.

We do both! She’s already rolled over intentionally twice and is amazing with neck control. We do back and tummy time 5-6x a day for 10-20 min and she loves it. She also LIVES for these little toy balls! She likes holding it at all times and shakes it non stop (and tries to eat it lol) she is becoming so much more fun to play with now that she has interests other than eating and napping. ❤️

Our play mat is a life saver. He’ll kick and hit toys at 13 weeks and loves looking at and smiling at the toys. I’ll set him there while I eat breakfast or need a bathroom break. We also do tummy time on it as well.

Also both. We’ve been doing tummy time since week one and he’s now starting to hold toys, (if we put them in his hand) he’s slowly batting at things himself. But he’s not so interested. His favorite though and only thing I really see him light up at is this musical black and white tiger that lights up and plays music. We call it the psychedelic tiger.

Both. He has been using his activity mat since week 1, and has just started having interest in other toys for the last week or two (he’s 11 weeks tomorrow). 
We also read to him a lot, and he’s really starting to enjoy books more too.

We have a play mat and a lounging bouncer that’s fit for Littles. Babies get bored... so we’ve been using both since 5-6 weeks. Been super helpful. She loves them.

I have a playmat and I detach the rattles and mirror so she can play with them other places as well.
