Anyone else feel their mood is low on mini pill?

I started taking the mini pill cerezette about 12 days ago and up until this point I felt great but the last few days I feel like my moods lower and I'm just feeling it down. I just feel I'm taking things more personally and over thinking everything. This is def not PPD my baby is 11 weeks and I totally adore him. Its other people lol. Anyone else find this with the mini pill and how long it take to pass?

I don’t take the mini pill, but I just wanted to put it out there that it could be PPD. It can come out in many different ways, doesn’t necessarily have to be about not loving your baby. PPD doesn’t just happen right after birth, it can happen up until 12 months postpartum. Not saying that’s what is going on, but I think it’s good to know not to assume you won’t have it unless it’s immediately after birth. I would reach out to your Dr and discuss possible side effects and let them know how you’re feeling. They may want to do a screening or suggest changing birth control.

My mood is ok but sex drive is at an all time low. That could just be the 3 mo old baby thing though haha

I haven’t noticed a difference in my mood and I’ve been on the mini pill since 4 weeks PP, but I just want to point out that PPD often peaks at I believe 4-5 months PP so many women who think it’s past that window mistake it for something else. I’m not saying you have PPD but it may be something worth chatting with someone about if your mood worsens or you find yourself feeling lost or alone ☺️

I actually posted about the mini pill in the BF group. I’m asking my doctor for a Rx but am looking for personal experiences. I read it can be 99% effective if taken properly. But I know it fails much more.

I am suffering with PND which is now really well controlled in fact I feel great but I have noticed my moods being lower just as my period starts. I see a mental health nurse and she has advised me not to start any hormone based contraceptives are it can effect your mood. I took the mini pill for years before and didn’t notice any change in my mood. I also didn’t have a dip in mood before my period so I’m thinking for now with all the hormonal changes my body is just more sensitive. I’m thinking about the copper coil or just avoiding ovulation week. Tbh we are just chancing it at the moment as my cycle is still all over the shop.
