Has anyone successfully nursed a baby with an ULT?

I'm fairly certain my boy has an upper lip tie so he can't flange his top lip out. Tongue looks fine to me. Can I still successfully nurse him if it isn't corrected? Anyone have a success story?

My son has one and we haven’t done anything about it and he’s still nursing great almost 6 months later. I just don’t let him tuck his lip under and it’s fine even though it’s never as flanged as my daughter’s was.

Start out by using a nipple shield tochelp him work on the latch. My little one has a ULT and we used the shield for the first month and a half. She is now almost four months old and she latches on no problem. She will still from time to time pop herself off to reposition herself, but other than that she does great. Her top lip doesn't flange all the way out like it should, but it is definitely better than it was before. Hope that helps! 😊
